Each Die Trying piece is created using the same hand operated vintage chain stitch machines that were used to create traditional western wear. While most embroidery today is computerized and mass produced, the work done on these vintage machines is hand done and made one piece at time. There is a handle below the machine that is used to control the direction, so you are basically “drawing” with the handle, while directing your fabric above and controlling the speed with your foot.
